OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 24, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Linear Health Sciences today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued the company’s first patent related to its flagship product, the Orchid Safety Release Valve™, a patient safety device designed to help prevent intravenous (IV) catheter dislodgement.
US Patent No. 9,861,805 B2 covers wide-ranging claims behind the tension-activated safety release valve for use in medical access devices such as IV catheters.
