A Houston-based medical device company took the top prize Thursday at the third annual Texas A&M New Ventures Competition.
The all-day event concluded in the Robert Gates Ballroom of the Memorial Student Center, where Intuitap Medical Inc. was named the 2017 winner — taking home the grand prize of $50,000. The competition featured 16 startups from across Texas competing for a combined total of $250,000 in prizes.
Intuitap Medical co-founder and CEO Jessica Traver told The Eagle she was “stunned” to find out her team had won the competition, citing the strong field of contenders who participated.
